REFLECTION / NOVEMBER 8 - DECEMBER 21
As a contribution to the gallery’s annual holiday showcase, Modern West presents Reflection. The exhibition offers not only a meditation on the cool, wintry palettes manifested across a spectrum of artworks, but also a celebration of Modern West’s ten years of artists, exhibitions and community engagement. Reflection will be on view November 8 through December 21, 2024.
Reflection features works by artists Shonto Begay, Fidalis Buehler, Rebecca Campbell, Day Christensen, Michael Coles, Shalee Cooper, Angela Ellsworth, Phil Epp, Kiki Gaffney, Sheldon Harvey, Suzanne Hill, Jim Jacobs, Dick Jemison, Jiyoun Lee-Lodge, Beatrice Mandelman, Mitch Mantle, V. Kim Martinez, Arlo Namingha, Paul Reynolds, Louis Ribak, Bailey Rigby, Billy Schenck, Woody Shepherd, Ben Steele, Eugene Tapahe, Diane Tuft, Pia van Nuland, Jerrin Wagstaff, Mike Whiting and Xi Zhang.
Modern West will host the opening reception for Reflection from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024. In partnership with The Bogue Foundry’s open artist studios, the gallery will also be open on Saturday, November 9 and Saturday, December 21, 2024.
“Diane Stewart has passionately moved the needle for arts in the state of Utah and we acknowledge her contributions in supporting and leading Modern West these last ten years,” says Shalee Cooper, director and curator at Modern West. “We are honored to take this time to reflect on our history by showcasing such a phenomenal group of artists.”
