COLLABORATION / UVU MUSEUM OF ART
We are pleased to loan works by Modern West artist Eugene Tapahe to the UVU Museum of Art for their exhibition Eugene Tapahe: Between the Worlds. The show is on view November 12, 2024 through February 15, 2025.
BETWEEN THE WORLDS
Between the Worlds connects the contemporary world with tradition while highlighting the relationship between people and the land. Through a combination of installations, photography and performance, Katherine Jackson, UVU Museum curator, states, “Tapahe engages people and places while mapping monuments as sacred sites throughout the modern world.”
“I am excited to have this show here in the Utah Valley. I hope you can come and see some of the new art I developed during graduate school and images from Art Heals: The Jingle Dress Project,” writes Tapahe. “This exhibition navigates these two creative paths, reflects their impact, and encourages us to view them not as static entities but as dynamic works of contemporary connection.”
