We are pleased to loan works by Modern West artist Diane Tuft to Westminster University for their showcase Confluence: Resource Limitations in the West through the Lens of Art, Science and the Humanities. Two of Tuft’s large-scale photographs will be on view November 12 through December 17, 2024, and a special event highlighting the work will be held on Friday, November 22 from 5:30-7:30 PM.

The program includes a panel discussion of the newly-released book Watershed Moment: The American West in the Age of Limits, with editors Bob Frodeman and Evelyn Brister, and authors Bonnie K. Baxter, Crystal Carr, and Paul Rogers.
A musical performance by Maya Violet Anderson will accompany the panelists. Following the panel, a reception will be held in the Meldrum Science Center featuring installations by artists Kellie Bornhoft, Dana Kuglin, and Diane Tuft.
In conjunction with the exhibition of Tuft’s work, we have rereleased our Artsy viewing room highlighting her body of work Entropy, covering Great Salt Lake’s drastic changes.
